Hey George. How You Doin'? Today it is about this African Lily beauty! Please allow me to introduce to you Crocosmia x 'George Davidson'. Just take it in and have a moment. So lovely and warm. Everyone has heard of, or has seen Lucifer Lily, right? (pictured below - Sorry about the stone mulch in the pic on the left. Avert your eyes.) It is a red Crocosmia that has become so commonplace. Lucifer requires full sun, which is great, however, customers are always asking for blooms in the shade. George Davidson is a great fit for this. This yellow Crocosmia will bloom in full sun, part sun and moderate shade. Ka-pow! Crocosmias also bring in the pollinators including hummingbirds. They bloom all summer long and they make great cut flowers and last a long time in a vase. This plant can definitely brighten your day and your shady garden. Thanks for reading!
